Afon Cefni (ship, 1890) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Afon Cefni (ship, 1890)
The ''Afon Cefni'' was an iron, four-masted sailing ship. Her sister ship was the ''Afon Alaw.'' She was named after Afon Cefni, one the rivers of Anglesey. Like the ''Afon Alaw'', the ''Afon Cefni'' was built in Glasgow, Scotland by A. Stephens & Sons for Hughes & Co from Menai Bridge, Anglesey, being completed a year before her sister. The ship's career, however, was not long. In 1894 it was en route to San Francisco from Swansea when it was lost with all crew. Later, pieces of the ship washed up on the Scilly Isles off the coast of Cornwall.
